Yohge Matsuda

Deeply rooted in Japanese traditions, Matsuda’s artworks are composed of the finest and most delicate materials. His vision is to visualize Japan’s peculiar humidity, the sedimentation of air, and the flow of floating time. He paints only fragments of everyday life – a memory and a scene that fades away in the unconscious. All works are framed in traditional Yakisugi oak on a background of bamboo paper.
