With a background in Art History, Antonia Ferrer’s paintings explore primitive materials which, applied gesturally, blur the line between sculpture and painting – almost like a bas-relief. The process is profoundly minimalist in appearance, with a tactile textural base covered in bath of oil color, creating light and shadow.
